Wonderful Perthshire wedding photographer and long-term client Harper Scott initially worked with us on branding and website design back in 2016 - and at the time, it was a minimalist, Scandi-inspired, wilderness-coded aesthetic. She came back recently to work on a rebrand, reflecting the evolution of her work in the intervening eight years.

Her new aesthetic is all about deep, rich colours and decadent imagery, reflecting the European chic editorial style of her work. Simple website design updates to incorporate the new branding and logo, and a full refresh of image selects throughout the site, curated by us to match her new direction, completed the look.

Branding and Web Design in Glasgow for Harper Scott

A brand is, in the broadest sense, the story about a business. And the process of branding design is where we use graphic design to distil creative and aesthetic elements to support the telling of that story. The idea is that values and unique characteristics can be reflected in every little creative choice - from the logo to the colour scheme to the typography, to the marques, to the textures and illustrations and more. Every little aesthetic decision across the branding and web design can help to carry a little bit of the message.

In the case of Harper Scott, we had several goals in mind. It’s a boutique, editorial style of photography, and whilst it’s a portfolio of images full of decadent parties and stylish people, the key element is in-love couples who highly value art. So a key goal for the brand was to really speak to people who want to bring along an artist to photograph their wedding. And that influenced the lush typography, and the iconography that we designed and illustrated, as well as all of the images that we curated for the website updates.
